PROJECT 04.

Network Review

Offering a number of benefits to the Public Sector, The Scottish Wide Area Network (SWAN) provides a Scottish-based Public Service Network (PSN) which can provide secure connectivity to the public sector in Scotland.

 

Our project will undertake a review of SWAN governance arrangements with partners, delivering recommendations for increasing the local government voice for achieving better value. We will seek to deliver a set of recommendations addressing the common challenges raised by local government.

DELIVERABLES

Review and Recommendations Paper *LIVE*

A report on the review of SWAN governance carried out by the Digital Office and recommendations for addressing the common challenges currently being faced by local government.

 

A “Future Network Architecture” paper

A joint paper with Scottish Government setting out guidance and recommendations for the use of PSN (e.g. SWAN) and the internet.
